Happy Holidays, friends of the Lt. David Schmitz Foundation!

As we ring in the holiday season, we want to thank you for your support and let you know about our most recent fundraiser initiative: Our Holiday 2022 Scholarship Drive!

This holiday season, we would like to ask you to consider making a tax-deductible donation to the Lt. David Schmitz Foundation. We hope to raise $8,477 in December 2022.  

We have a big goal for a big reason! 

Your donations will go directly to boosting our 2023 Lt. David Schmitz Scholarship, which is given to young, aspiring aviators to help them advance their goals and dreams despite challenges throughout their journey—just like David did. Your donations will also help fund our mission of honoring MEZr's legacy in the communities he impacted.

In the last scholarship round, we awarded 25 scholarships to bright, young people to help them accomplish their dream of becoming professional pilots. And, on June 30, nearly 200 people participated in the Foundation’s 2022 Annual 5K Race (many virtually via Strava!), and helped us raise $8,220 for Lt. David Schmitz Foundation scholarships. 

We couldn’t be more grateful for your support and can’t wait to award scholarships to more aspiring aviators! Thank you for considering a donation in this season.
